Special Events at The Lafayette

Events at The Lafayette are truly historic!  With over 13000 sq ft of event space, we offer more than eight unique spaces to accommodate your special event of any size.  We offer a combination of classic historic spaces featuring original hotel design and architecture, rustic urban settings, and hip modern areas to suit any event.  With a variety of menu options ranging from informal cocktail receptions and happy hours to elegant formal dinners, our teams at Pearl Street Catering and Marquis Classic Events will ensure a memorable event.  Guests booking these private banquet rooms also have the option of reserving preferred rates on overnight guest rooms at the Hotel @ The Lafayette, as well as taking advantage of the Lafayette Brewing Company, Public Espresso, and other Lafayette amenities.

 

Event Spaces

The Lafayette Room –  A truly historic space that features restored design elements from the original hotel, including polished mahogany paneled walls and floor to ceiling windows.  A split atrium level provides a unique setting for small functions and corporate events. This 1,300 square foot space is perfect for wedding ceremonies, showers and seated events for up to 75 people.

Art Deco Bar –  With an art deco design and illuminated glass bar, this lounge is one of the most unique spaces in Buffalo to host your small event or reception. This 800 square foot space accommodates up to 30 guests and is perfect for a casual affair.

The Greenhouse Room –  Featuring an urban industrial design, this room is light and airy with large windows and a peaked ceiling over the center of the room.  It features a private outdoor courtyard. This 2,700 square foot space accommodates up to 275 guests.  View More Photos

The Courtyard Room –  With a rustic old-world styling, this room is warm and inviting with wood wainscoting, brick accents, and city street lamp inspired lighting.  The room also boasts skylights that are original to the hotel design, bringing in lots of natural light.  A private outdoor courtyard is connected to the room. The Mezzanine –  A  unique private area that overlooks the historic Pan American Dining Room, offering a casual cocktail style feel. This 800 square foot space accommodates up to 50 guests.

The Crystal Room –  Highlighting spectacular design elements from the original 1904 hotel design, the Crystal Room offers magnificent architectural design and details.  Named for the crystal and brass chandeliers preserved for over 100 years, this room features polished marble floors, floor to ceiling windows, and embellished gilded capitols.  A jeweled treasure perfect for any affair.  1850 sq ft.  Accommodates  up to 150 guests. 

The AAA Room –  The AAA Room boasts polished mahogany paneled walls, original marble floors, and ornamental painted ceilings.  Floor to ceiling mirrored doors and a warm ambiance are an ideal setting for your special event.  Connects to the Marquis Room as a pre-event or cocktail space.  1600 sq ft.  Accommodates up to 125 guests.

The Marquis Room –  Our largest event space  features 25 foot vaulted ceilings, crystal chandeliers, a theatrical stage/bandstand, polished wood floors, and is adorned with  hand-crafted embellished woodwork.  The Marquis Ballroom is a stunning setting for the most extravagant affair.  3700 sq ft.  Accommodates up to 300 guests.

Parking Accommodations

For events booked at the Hotel @ the Lafayette you can pre-pay for valet services for all evening events. Valet pricing is based on the number of guests attending your event. If you wish to forego valet, your guests can park in the Adam’s Parking Ramp located next to the hotel on Washington Street or at any metered parking spot.
